6 Month Statistics

Naomi had her 6 month checkup (and shots) at the doctor's yesterday. Here are the stats:

* 13 pounds, 14 ounces (15th percentile)
* 26" long (55th percentile)

The doc says he expects her to be an average height and slender as a child and an adult (I guess those tendencies are apparent by this point). From our descriptions of her eating habits, he says she'll probably be a picky eater, too, so he told us not to stress about her being finicky.

Everywhere we go people tell us how beautiful Naomi is. Maybe they're just being nice, but we think it's true. I think she's in the 100th percentile for cuteness.

First post ya'll... 100% percentile would make her the cutest baby in the world. While I would tend to agree, maybe some sort of competition is in order. There are a lot of cute babies in the world and while I could say NGC is in the top-10 easy, I wouldn't want to slight the other nine their fair fight. Let's make it pay-per-view and make lots of $$$...

I'm aware of the staggering ramifications of putting her in the 100th percentile. If there's anyone who understands sample distributions, it's me. The kids back in elementary school used to call me "99" because that was always my percentile ranking for all the components of the Iowa test.

That said, this extremely biased father stands by his claim.

They called you "99" because of your striking similarity to Wayne Gretzky. They would never had called you "99" for being a nerd, they just would have punched you.
