I've Got a Fever...
...and the only cure is getting outside on days like today (but a little cowbell wouldn't hurt, either). Today I up and left work, unannounced, at 3:30. Untucked the shirt, cued up Bob Marley on the iPod and drove home with the windows down. We took a long walk in the sunshine after I got home. It's amazing what a day like today can do for my demeanor after a long, gray, rainy winter. I can feel the vitamin D coursing through my veins.
It's back to my cubicle walls tomorrow, and I'll need to make up for the work I blew off this afternoon, but it was worth it.

Every day should be like that. If one afternoon off can illicit such euphoria, I think you're in the wrong job. Then again, I'm not telling you anything you don't already know...
