My New Bike
After several years of wanting another bike (my last one was stolen in college) and several weeks of research, I bit the bullet this evening and brought home my new ride.

Okay, you got me, Mom. Was that a not-so-subtly veiled question to make sure I wear a helmet when I ride? I didn't buy one at the bike store (they were all too expensive), but I'm going to pick one up on the way home tonight.

You read me like a book!
I'm so glad you got your bike. Cal' told me you've been wanting one,(but I am glad you're getting a helmet!) Have fun. Love you.

Oh yeah, definitely got to wear a helmet. I always wear mine. If you want to look really cool you can put a propeller on the front!!

that is a fun treat! for excercise or pleasure?

For exercise and pleasure. I've learned that I won't exercise if I'm not enjoying it, and I hate running. At some point I think it would be cool to do some touring, but I need to get in much better shape first. I might also do some commuting that makes sense when the weather is nice.

how long is it to your office?
few people ride their bikes to work in a different state, you can impress people at cocktail parties with that one!
