Turning the Corner
It’s been an extremely long and trying four days and I hesitate to even say this but I think we are turning the corner. Naomi hasn’t had ibuprofen or acetaminophen now for almost 12 hours and she remains feverless - thank God! I thought we were out of the woods yesterday when the doctor seemed to think it might be over but, unfortunately she woke up from a nap in the afternoon with a fever near 103 degrees. We were able to get it down pretty quickly thankfully and it hasn’t reared its ugly head again – and hopefully never will. Naomi wants so badly to feel better. With even the slightest dip of her fever she’s back to the playful and smiley little girl we love so much. As a parent I feel so helpless and wish I could take the sickness away, fight it for her. I think I could make a pretty convincing argument for moving to a secluded island never to come in contact with a germy kid again. Hopefully what they say is true - this is building up antibodies and preparing her immune system for...school germs.

Glad to hear she is almost better. I can't imagine what it must feel like to go through that.

Hey, glad to hear that she sounds like she is turning the corner. Kori and I have been worried, but have been keeping you all in our prayers. Please keep us up to date on her progress.
Love you all.

Hey guys,
I have a close friend who has recently been going through this same thing if you would like more info. Their daughter had her first seizure at 10 months (Feb.2005), brought on a by a fever, and has had 2 others since then. She is now 16 months and has been diagnosed with epilepsy but she has a really good chance of growing out of it since she is so young. Anyway, we will DEFINITELY keep Naomi in our thoughts and prayers!
Love, Tiff and Steve
