One Year
Happy birthday, Naomi! It's hard to believe that it's been a year already since you were born. And what a year it has been! Life is much different now, and much better. We love you so much!
New tricks: walking is now the main mode of transportation, dancing to music, sign language for "more," carries items (especially phones and remote controls) around the house, gives hugs and kisses on request (sometimes).
Vocabulary: da-da, ma-ma, up, uh-oh (plus very near to mastering several other words we've heard once or twice such as "ball," "apple" and "puffs"). She understands far more than she can verbalize.
Cal and Naomi picked me up for lunch today, and we're going to celebrate her birthday together on Friday (she doesn't know it's her birthday, anyway). Pictures and more details to follow.

Happy Birthday NGC! You're not quite an uppercase N yet, but you're getting there.
The cranky 28 year-old man says in a raspy world-worn voice "The rest of the birthdays are all downhill kid..." Now back to my cigars and whiskey!

Wow....our little Naomi is walking, talking, and even dancing! I can't believe how quickly she is growing up.
Time has really flown by, and I just wish that we could be down there to help celebrate her birthday. I will be sure to buy her the messiest, loudest, most annoying toy I can find.
Happy Birthday Naomi.
