The New Gig

Today was my last day here.

Later this month I'll be starting here as the producer for our weekend services. I'll be on a team set up as an in-house creative agency, and I'll be working with our artists, designers, musicians and speakers to bring to life innovative "experiences" each week. I wasn't actively looking for another opportunity, but this one found me and I'm excited to try something new and very different.

Update: here's a relevant article from this week's CityBeat.

We thought about you all day, Matt and we're excited about your new opportunity. You have so many talents and skills and will have a great deal to offer your new venture. As always, we're very proud of you!

Is this 4th post since the above is from three people? Now that's just not fair...

I can be in your speakers series if you ever need someone to talk about Seasons 1-7 of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and the greater impact on the post-TNG Star Trek universe. I mean, the Dominion War changed *everything* and it can be tough to put that in historical significance. I can bring my own orbs.

I can't really add anything to Tony's entry, so CONGRATS MATT!!

Who deleted my civilence test? Test, test. Civilence.

Mike, you're supposed to say "sibilance" on a mic check, not "civilence" (that's not a word). Sibilance describes unwanted "S" sounds on a vocal track.

I wasn't sure what the word is, so I was quoting you!

Chandler, that's awesome, congrats on the big change, I know you been contemplating doing so for a while. I look forward to hearing more about your new gig. Sorry this is belated, I was on vacation last week.
