Trial Run

Matt and I spent several hours early this morning at the hospital wondering if we would welcome our new daughter today. She apparently wanted to test the waters and see if all systems were a go. I guess we failed her test because she let up on the constant and intense contractions and we were sent back home. The little stinker! Grandparents were summoned to come stay at the house with Naomi and be ready to hit the road to make it in time for the arrival of their newest granddaughter. False alarm or not, we can now say that we are all set to go when she decides to make her grand entrance.

Up at 1:30am. Timing contractions until we called the doctor at 2:30 (go to the hospital, he said). Grandparents came over and we left the house by 3:30. Back in bed by 7am. Naomi up at 7:30 and I left for work at 8!
