Transitions

Naomi is turning into a young girl before my eyes. A few days ago she decided that it was time to sleep in her big girl bed both for her nap and at night - and she hasn't turned back. Today she told me that she wanted her sister to sleep in the crib... she's "giving" it to her. So, Nomi and I got it all set up for Selah. Maybe tonight we'll try both girls sleeping in the same room. Cross your fingers! It's all happening so fast. Potty training, big bed - before I know it she'll be driving and off to college.

As fun as it is to see her growing up, it's also strange to see the effects of these milestones. Ever since switching to a "big girl bed," Naomi's been waking up slightly more jaded and cynical about the world around her. She's also drinking coffee in the morning and has been muttering about needing to take up jogging. Weird.

Good luck tonight... I hope the girls stay in their new beds til morning. It's fun to visit your site, and see what your family is up to.

That's awesome, Cal! We had the same thing with Isaac. He just got in the bed when I was making it one day, and he's never left since (well except for meals, ha!). As for putting them together; you let me know if that turns out. We do that when company comes and it works for a few days, but on a regular basis, it just makes me crazy. We just keep finding Isaac in the middle of the night throwing toys into Hannah's crib(while she's sleeping! and then up screaming, of course). He's so generous, you know. :)

Hey Matt

I was going to email you through the contact link, but you don't have that working yet. Anyhow, I have a couple comments on some older stuff. 1. congrats on getting the award on the 48 hour film. Well done! Did you get any other recognition nationally?
2. iMac - oh dangit, I've been dreaming about one for months! I'd REALLY like to know your honest thoughts about it - and making the switch from PC to Apple. I've been doing research and I'm sold on how cool it is and the music, DVD, and photo options. But what about email? What about word processing or Excel-type stuff? Did you get the microsoft software to go with the intel chip (Word, Excel, etc.)? Does the iChat thing really work with people that don't have a Mac and just use AOL IM? That's what I was told.
Sorry, that's a lot to ask and you're a busy man. Maybe email me your IM name with MSN, AOL, Yahoo, or your phone number and a good time to contact you :)

Last thing - I admire your blog and hope to do things as well as you someday - add video, post about a better variety of things, etc. I've fallen out of that habit in the last year or something

Wow, things are changing quickly at Team C HQ, and I don't mean diapers, or not as many at least. Great news and sweet that she is donating her crib to Selah. I see a development economist blooming...

I missed the potty training but I seem to remember (Maybe a couple of years ago) a little blond five year old girl that looks a lot like Naomi who suddenly gave birth to two little look alikes! How can this be happening so fast?
