1. Denial: "There can't be anything wrong with my iPod! It doesn't have a scratch on it, and I've never so much as breathed on it wrong!"
2. Anger: "Are you kidding me? This $@#& thing is only two years old!"
3. Bargaining: "Okay, maybe if I just restore the disk to factory settings...no? Then let's just erase the drive in Disk Utility? Error writing to drive?! NO!!!"
4. Depression: "Why do I even waste my hard-earned money on this crap? It all just breaks or rusts, eventually."
5. Acceptance: (I'll let you know when I'm there.)
So long, dear friend. You were taken from us far too soon.

...and I didn't get a call? You've become a (nerd) man my friend. Troubleshooting your own IT issues... sniff sniff... my little (nerd) boy is all grown up!
(I'll still take a look at it for you if you want though)
The fun part about the acceptance stage is buying the new 60GB video iPod.

I agree with Tony. I've got the above mentioned video iPod. It is so choice....if you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.

In a word: terrifying. In another few: great business model. We actually accept this and just keep on buying these things? Damn, I want a videopod too.
