Adopt-a-Bed

Naomi's bed of radishes and onions
Nom's kindergarten class frequently takes trips to Greenacres Farm, which is an amazing and semi-undiscovered treasure. A few weeks ago the kids planted "salads" at Greenacres and were asked to adopt-a-bed for the remainder of the year. Since we don't have an ideal sunny spot in our yard for a home garden, without taking down several trees, this is the next best thing. We go once a week to weed, tend to and watch the garden grow. At the end of the year the class will go back to see the "salads" that they planted. Hopefully that will include taste-testing, too.

This is such an awesome experience for the girls! How cool. I have wanted to do a raised bed here but need a little "Dad support!" I'll watch this space for the girls' garden update! Love you.
